4,4'-Methylenebis(2,6-diethylaniline) (MDEA) is a high-performance aromatic diamine widely used as a curing agent/extender for polyurethane elastomers and epoxy resins. This third-generation chain extender exhibits superior properties with a melting point of 88-91°C (lit.), boiling point of 205°C at 0.5 mmHg, and density of 0.90 g/cm³. As a low-toxicity alternative to MOCA, it demonstrates excellent compatibility with TDI prepolymers, providing outstanding dynamic mechanical properties in PU castings, spray coatings, and RIM applications. The material should be stored in airtight containers under inert atmosphere at room temperature. Safety precautions include wearing protective gloves/eyewear due to potential skin/eye irritation (GHS Category 2).
