4,4'-Methylenebis(2-ethylaniline) (ME-DDM) is a high-performance aromatic diamine widely used as a curing agent for epoxy resins and chain extender in polyurethane elastomers. This compound features a boiling point of 426°C at 760 mmHg and density of 1.064 g/cm³. With viscosity ranging 2000-5000 cps, it demonstrates excellent compatibility with TDI/MDI prepolymers. Applications include adhesives, fiber-reinforced composites, and high-performance coatings. Storage should be in tightly sealed containers under inert atmosphere at room temperature. Safety precautions are required due to its toxicity (GHS Category 2), including skin/eye protection and adequate ventilation.
