Thiodiglycolic-dimethyl ester is a bifunctional aliphatic thio-ester containing two methyl acetate units linked by a sulfur atom. It is air-stable, freely miscible with common organic solvents and essentially insoluble in water. Commercial material is supplied ≥98 % pure.
