Electrophilic thiol with low odor; forms intramolecular S–F hydrogen bond, giving distinct acidity (pKa ≈ 6.1). Used as agro-chemical and pharmaceutical intermediate, and as ligand precursor for OLED materials. Store under nitrogen, away from light and oxidants.
